Position Title: WGSS MEAL Assistant
Location: Syria – WGSS Turkman Bareh
Reports To: Senior MEAL Officer
Type of Contract: Full Time

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION

 University degree
 2 years’ experience in MEAL preferable in protection projects.
 Experience of working with information and data management systems in complex contexts
 Experience of working with software databases
 Demonstrable experience of competently and effectively synthesizing and managing large quantities of data.
 Advanced level of using Microsoft office Excel, MS Access and MS Power BI.
 Excellent proven communication skills, including working with multiple stakeholder groups.
 Ability to work both in an advisory and a hands on implementation capacity
 Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, tact and diplomacy.
 Languages: Good command of English & Arabic speaking and writing.
 Respect for diversity and non-judgmental attitude

RESPONSIBILITIES

 Support in the monitoring and data collection of WGSS activities.
 Support program officers in conducting assessments for the project
 Monitor and update project indicators
 Perform data quality control and cleanup data coming from field exercises on weekly basis. Identify trends in data quality.
 Contribute to development and maintenance of dashboards of programmatic indicators, as well as other information products from the data; ensure provision of scheduled and on-demand disaggregation of information related to programmatic indicators
 Maintain programmatic complaints information management system, ensure ongoing updates of content and actions taken, including confirmation of open/resolved cases
 Maintain, verify and update and report programme beneficiary count information, ensure disaggregation by activity location, beneficiary sex, age, displacement status, sector of implementation, type of service received and grant.
 Identify issues and/or bottlenecks in how information flows are organized in Protection programme/MEL; propose solutions for improving RI data and information flows
 Support Program Officers with field level data analysis; data compilation and entry ensure all required disaggregation of information and ensure appropriate level of detail of information and analysis is done according to program needs.
 Discretion and uphold the principle of confidentiality when dealing with personal and sensitive information.
